Today is Friday, January 5th. Another day...another job hunt. I quit working at StarTek in Joneseboro effective 01/15. A lot of people might think I'm nuts to give up a good job just because of the stress and distance to drive. And maybe I was....all I know is that at my age, I have begun to truly value my HEALTH, and since stress is a proven health destroyer, I decided it best to cut my losses and move on. The job market is tough now but I am counting on my vast experience and persistence to win out. Jack left me a newspaper clip about a job in Caruthersville and so I am going to hop in the shower and run my resume over to them today. It's rainy and gloomy today (I LONG for the sun....) and so I guess getting in the car and driving is better than sitting home eating and watching TV (or playing on the computer). I don't do "staying home all the time" well.
Tomorrow, I will be the mother of a 34 year old....my middle son is having a birthday. I don't feel old enough to have a 34 year old...but then again, my oldest child is going to be 40 this year....FORTY!! I remember when I thought THIRTY was old and now my DAUGHTER is going to be FORTY. WOW!
Well, off to the shower...the day is wasting.

This is going to be fun! And I will tell you all about my life in the "boondocks".
Let's begin with how I arrived here in the Greenway boondocks. In September of 2003 I was innocently surfing the net when a pop-up appeared asking me to join another singles dating site. Well, I was single but I really didn't think I needed to join another site. I ALMOST clicked it off but then curiosity got the better of me. What the heck, I can look...that doesn't cost. Well, the first man I came to had written something SO beautiful in his "what I'm looking for and who I am" section that I just had to join so I could tell him how awesome his thoughts and words were. He lived in Arkansas and I KNEW I would NEVER move there. YUCK...Arkansas. Well, the rest is history. We hit it off immediately, he came to Arizona for a week in October and I moved to Arkansas in November. I have been here ever since...and he is the best thing that ever happened to me.
